Trip to Moscow - the Trekol monsters!

Just a few days after my european colleagues left back to Paris, I  had to go visit our eastern neighbors due to shoot some road killers.... sorry, i mean road savers... as the offroad mashines (which are produced in Russia at the Trekol company) are driving with extra low air pressure (pic1) - and it actually saves the nature.

I went to Moscow - Lyubertsi to check out their production facility, get some interviews and shoot those monster trucks in the wild. Of course, russians were very happy about it so there was no problem with gathering some information and planning.

The main problem happened to be the awful Moscow traffic. It was almost impossible to drive around and get things done IN TIME. I had to take a local train to catch a train to Tallinn.

Anyway...  it s a great side of working in video production as you meet people you would never see and do things you never would. And i am glad i had a chance to visit this place.

My grandpa has the same car actually - i drive one every time i visit him - so it felt good to see those around here. It s the old model of UAZ - no electronics-truck for military usage. Drives everywhere and tolerates everything. They use 100% russian parts to build those machines - cause it s cheap and easy to repair.
And here is some GoPro footage snaps - have nt got time for proper pics.
This cars are used for gas/oil exploration, hunting and rescue operations so they are supposed to go trough heavy terrain, mud, shit and water.
My last Moscow view before hopping on train to go back home.
